The people in the church at Corinth were bringing lawsuits against one another in the public courthouse. They were defrauding one another. They were engaging in real wrong against each other. What Paul does in 1 Corinthians 6:1-11 is brings the Gospel to bear in the situation and how it is supposed to radically transform our relationships with each other and with the world. Here are some questions we will be dealing with: what were these grievances Paul was writing about? What was the solution Paul lays out? How does the reality of being part of the “kingdom of God” change our lives?
As the Lord leads, read through 1 Corinthians 6 this week, focusing on 1 Corinthians 6:1-11. The memory verse that corresponds with the Sunday School this week is 1 Cor. 10:31.
